Throughout our Flags for Heroes campaign, we've had the privilege of learning about the incredible veterans who have served our country with courage and dedication. These stories, filled with sacrifice and resilience, serve as a powerful reminder of the true meaning of patriotism.

We’re honored to share the story of Tim DeMaio, a Navy veteran who has faced profound challenges with unyielding courage.

Story submitted by Geoff Matero “Tim was a navy man. Worked with some three letter identifying agencies. Was blown up. Came out of military. Got treated for TBI and PTSD. Now he designs skateboard (some for some pretty big names) centered around veterans. Proceeds from the boards selling go to helping veterans with TBI and PTSD. He works full time for the USGov at the moment. Has a two year old. A four month old and his wife was just diagnosed with state 4 cancer. He comes home, helps his wife, takes care of the kids and then STILL works to help veterans after everyone goes to bed. One of the most selfless guys I know."

Thank you, Tim, for your honorable service, sacrifice, and dedication.
