Throughout our Flags for Heroes campaign, we've had the privilege of learning about the incredible veterans who have served our country with courage and dedication. These stories, filled with sacrifice and resilience, serve as a powerful reminder of the true meaning of patriotism.
We’re honored to share the story of Ryan Groves, a Purple Heart Veteran who devoted 23 years of service to the United States Army.
Story submitted by Timothy Sylys Groves “My Dad retired from the United States Army after 23 years of service. He’s a Purple Heart Veteran that served in numerous deployments during his time in the military. I feel he deserves recognition because he made a lot of sacrifices to serve our country so we can enjoy the many freedoms we have today. He still gives unselfishly of his time and efforts in leading Veterans’ groups in retreats for the Warrior Bonfire Program. He also helps with the younger generation by leading my local Boy Scout Troop. He’s always there to pick up his phone when former soldiers call him. He’s quick to reply if they text or message him. He’s always willing to help them out or point them in the right direction when they have questions. I can’t think of anyone more deserving than him. I love my Dad, I love what he stands for, and that is why I feel he deserves this recognition."
Thank you, Ryan, for your honorable service, sacrifice, and dedication.
