Throughout our Flags for Heroes campaign, we've had the privilege of learning about the incredible veterans who have served our country with courage and dedication. These stories, filled with sacrifice and resilience, serve as a powerful reminder of the true meaning of patriotism.

We’re honored to share the story of Jonathan Wyatt, a true embodiment of resilience and unwavering commitment to both country and community.

Story submitted by Albert Lewis Hoak: "From the perils of Iraqi Freedom to the care and safety of our community Lt. Wyatt has demonstrated commitment to country and community. As a Lt. with the Conroe FD Lt. Wyatt demonstrates all that resonates to service to Country. Tireless hours of life-saving calls, hurricanes and flood water rescues and countless hours of instruction and training exemplifies the nature of a TRUE veteran that gives of himself without reservation. Lt, Wyatt has always been a pleasurable and inviting person that always is willing to listen and to provide lessons that would be of great benefit for personal safety. Lt. Wyatt is a proven veteran that honors the flag of the USA and proudly represents the meaning of Veteran. Lt. Wyatt being a native Texan has such a way with words that only folks from Texas understand, for me, it was always a down to eart way to look at life from a perspective like no other. Example, ""It's like a cow looking at a new gate for the first time."" or my favorite as it pretrains to what he encounters. ""We're the guys running into the fire everyone else is running from.""  I realize that are countless Vetrans deserving of this GREAT recognition however, when a person of this nature impacts your life and the lives of many after service to country speaks volumes."

Thank you, Jonathan, for your honorable service, sacrifice, and dedication.
