Throughout our Flags for Heroes campaign, we've had the privilege of learning about the incredible veterans who have served our country with courage and dedication. These stories, filled with sacrifice and resilience, serve as a powerful reminder of the true meaning of patriotism.

We’re honored to share the story of Lee Baleme, a distinguished hero who retired as a Sergeant Major after 28 years of dedicated service in the Army.

Story submitted by Jeffery Eyer: "Lee retired as a Sergeant Major after serving  28 years in the Army. He has been deployed several times in hostile territories. He has lead and mentored many soldiers and officers while on active duty and afterwards. He has served in various veteran organizations including Wounded Warrior Project after his retirement. He continues to serve the military by using his military experience to help combat the PTSD epidemic many veterans experience. His service, leadership, mentorship and friendships have made an impact on countless veterans. He is the most respected and trusted person that I know."

Thank you, Lee, for your honorable service, sacrifice, and dedication.
