Throughout our Flags for Heroes campaign, we've had the privilege of learning about the incredible veterans who have served our country with courage and dedication. These stories, filled with sacrifice and resilience, serve as a powerful reminder of the true meaning of patriotism.
We’re honored to share the story of Kevin Mileski, a dedicated Marine who has served our country overseas and returned to continue making an impact at home.
Story submitted by Heather Mileski: "Kevin was in the Marines, he served overseas as well. Not only does he deserve this nomination for that, but he is an example to our young men and women in the community. He teaches the teenagers what the flag means and why we should respect it and our country. He teaches discipline and respect on and off the football field that he coaches, in and out of schools he participates in! He is a fine example of a marine, citizen, and human! He helps make America great by teaching and shaping young humans to be better people, to be respectful, and to have honor in everything you do in life! The kids respect and love him, and the parents appreciate him for what he instills in our kids! He obviously has demons from war and will not sugar coat if you're asking about joining the service, but he will tell you that you won't regret serving our country!! I am thankful to Kevin and all the other service men and women who have offered to lay their lives down to protect me and my family!!"
