Throughout our Flags for Heroes campaign, we've had the privilege of learning about the incredible veterans who have served our country with courage and dedication. These stories, filled with sacrifice and resilience, serve as a powerful reminder of the true meaning of patriotism.

We’re honored to share the story of Montez K. Miller, a dedicated veteran, coach, and mentor who selflessly serves his community.

Story submitted by Megan Miller “My Veteran nominee is Montez K Miller. Montez is a disabled Veteran who works at our local school and is a Football and Basketball Coach. Montez not only was deployed during the birth of his oldest children but he was called home and couldn't re-enlist due to his child being hospitalized for a severe medical issue. Montez suffers from some medical issues as well and also has pretty severe PTSD from his time in combat. That doesn't stop him from doing what he loves most and that's making a difference in our community, especially with his young athletes and our 5 children. Montez is a very humble man who always feels that someone else needs the help or deserves recognition more than himself, especially those who have their lives. I believe in addition to all of our Veterans, he needs to receive that recognition as well too realize he's not just our hero, he's also United States of America's hero."

Thank you, Montez, for your honorable service, sacrifice, and dedication.
