Throughout our Flags for Heroes campaign, we've had the privilege of learning about the incredible veterans who have served our country with courage and dedication. These stories, filled with sacrifice and resilience, serve as a powerful reminder of the true meaning of patriotism.
We’re honored to share the story of Michael A. Hory, a dedicated veteran whose service spans from 1963 to 1989.
Story submitted by Nancy Hory “Mike served from 1963-1989; his first 13 years as a submarine sailor. He was on 3 diesel boat subs & 1 nuke. He made war patrols during VietNam War. His final years were as a USN Reserve Recruiter retiring as MCPO & was the first reservist to attend the Sr Enlisted Academy. We relocated to Maine from FL & Mike worked for the Army Recruiting Battalion of New England as a civil servant for 14 years; starting as a secretary & retiring as the Facilities Manager for the Army Recruiting Battalion of New England. He is a proud Veteran & loves his country. We are involved with American Legion & VFW."
