Throughout our Flags for Heroes campaign, we've had the privilege of learning about the incredible veterans who have served our country with courage and dedication. These stories, filled with sacrifice and resilience, serve as a powerful reminder of the true meaning of patriotism.
We’re honored to share the story of Jimmy Harding, a Marine Corps veteran whose kindness and dedication uplift his community.
Story submitted by Kathy Ward “I met Jimmy Harding at church five years ago. He greeted people every Sunday for morning worship. He was always there with a smile and kind words. My three grandchildren attend church with me. He never fails to make a point to engage in conversation with them. He proudly wears his Marine Corp swag at church and out in the community. We love him dearly. My children’s elementary school honors our veterans by putting on a special program and lunch for Veterans Day. He proudly displays his dedication for being a Marine Corps veteran. My children look up to him and truly appreciate all veterans and their service to us. Jimmy is also a great husband, father, grandfather and friend. My life is blessed for having the honor to call him my friend."
