Throughout our Flags for Heroes campaign, we've had the privilege of learning about the incredible veterans who have served our country with courage and dedication. These stories, filled with sacrifice and resilience, serve as a powerful reminder of the true meaning of patriotism.

We are honored to share the story of Maurice "Ed" Fowler, a man whose lifelong patriotism has inspired all who know him.

Story submitted by Karen Fowler “My husband sold papers in Detroit when Pearl Harbor Happened. The way the country reacted inspired him to talk his parents into signing for him to join the Army Air Corp. He turned 17 in April 1947, his parents signed May, 47. He was there when it was dedicated and became the USAF. He is the most Patriotic person I know. He is 94 and wishes he could still serve. He served in China during peace time and in the Korean War. He is our families hero."

Thank you, Maurice “Ed”, for your honorable service, sacrifice, and dedication.
