Throughout our Flags for Heroes campaign, we've had the privilege of learning about the incredible veterans who have served our country with courage and dedication. These stories, filled with sacrifice and resilience, serve as a powerful reminder of the true meaning of patriotism.

We’re honored to share the story of Jeremy Alan Crippin, a dedicated Marine whose dream to serve became reality the day he enlisted.

Story submitted by Junie M. Crippin:He went into the Marines as soon as he graduated from High School, that was his dream and he made it! He was in the Marines for four years, stationed to maintain the vehicles, and he loved the job. I went from IL to San Diego, CA to watch him graduate. I was amazed at all his of the things he went thru in Basic Training. He never ever complained, as we wrote letters back and forth at least every week. It was the first time he’d been away from our home. We were living in the country in a small rural town in IN at the time of his enlistment, so quite a change there! He loved the Marines, and was so proud of being accepted, as I was also so very proud of him! When I got to San Diego and saw him we were almost running, into each other’s arms cause I’d missed my Son so very much! Watching the movies of what he went thru on Basic, I knew that I couldn’t have done half the things those men did to prepare for possible fighting the enemy! I know he learned a lot and became a better man because of being in the Marines! He is still a Marine. Once a Marine, Always a Marine. I’m so very proud of my son Jeremy!"

Thank you, Jeremy, for your honorable service, sacrifice, and dedication.
