Throughout our Flags for Heroes campaign, we've had the privilege of learning about the incredible veterans who have served our country with courage and dedication. These stories, filled with sacrifice and resilience, serve as a powerful reminder of the true meaning of patriotism.

We’re honored to share the story of Daniel Ulrich, a 20-year Army veteran who embodies dedication to his country and community.

Story submitted by Nicole Ulrich “My husband and I met while we were both serving in Korea in 1999. My husband served for 20 years with 5 combat deployments overseas. He was with the first unit into Iraq in 2003 when we invaded, and was part of the last unit out of Iraq when we pulled out. He was handpicked to serve at Obama's second inauguration due to his dependability and love for his country. He is currently still serving as a JROTC instructor at Elbert County High School, in Elberton, GA, molding future generations to become hard charging patriots! He helps to organize and put on a Veterans Day program for local veterans every year through the JROTC program at the high school. My husbands love for our country inspires so many people and though he's not Active Duty anymore, he is still serving our country and the American people daily."

Thank you, Daniel, for your honorable service, sacrifice, and dedication.
