Throughout our Flags for Heroes campaign, we've had the privilege of learning about the incredible veterans who have served our country with courage and dedication. These stories, filled with sacrifice and resilience, serve as a powerful reminder of the true meaning of patriotism.
We’re honored to share the story of Henry Tulowitzki, a man who has endured unimaginable hardship and emerged stronger.
Story submitted by Todd Tulowitzki : “My dad did several tours in Vietnam. He was almost killed numerous times. His whole squad was killed. Everyone but him and a few other guys in his platoon were killed. My dad suffered inside for several years with what he saw and the things he had to do. My dad finally started getting the help he needed about 7 years ago and at 78 he is finally the man I knew he could be. I want him to receive a quality flag that he fought to defend and that flag can be passed to me someday with my 28 years of Army service with numerous deployments myself, so that I can someday pass that flag onto one of my sons. Everyone can say they stand for and defend the flag but it means more when you have an actual flag in your family that you can physically hold to stand for and defend."
Thank you, Henry, for your honorable service, sacrifice, and dedication.
